July 1: Gold Coast Marathon

July 3: Keynote: Aboriginal Education Conference (Sydney Opera House)

Anita will be presenting the keynote on her writing journey, literacy and this year's NAIDOC theme of "Because of Her, We Can".


July 4 & 5: CEO NAIDOC Celebrations (Townsville, FNQ)

Anita will be working with Catholic Education students and staff in Townsville, celebrating this year's NAIDOC Week theme "Because of Her, We Can".


July 7: YA Book Meet (Sydney via Skype)

2.30pm: Anita will be Skyping into Dymocks 424 George St Sydney for a YA Book Meet about 'Growing Up Aboriginal in Australia'. It's free to attend on site, but please book your seat here.


July 11: National NAIDOC Conference (Sydney)

Anita will be presenting an address and workshop at the conference celebrating the NAIDOC theme: Because of Her, We Can. Registrations for the conference are now open here.


July 25: Indooroopilly HS NAIDOC celebration (Brisbane)

Anita is guest speaker for NAIDOC events at Indro High as they celebrate "Because of Her, We Can".


July 28: Outback Marathon (Yulara, NT)

Anita will return to Uluru this year (following last year's marathon and the 2016 half-marathon). She'll only run the 11km but will be cheering on the rest of the Epic Good Foundation's #TeamEpic as they cross the line while raising funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.


August 5: What Women Want (Byron Bay)

11.30am: Join Anita, Lisa Walker, Hannah Richell and Victoria Purman at the Byron Bay Writers Festival as they talk writing by and for women. The full BBWF program is here!


August 5: Growing Up Aboriginal in Australia (Byron Bay)
